Why it’s important to get a library card

Hello Dear Reader!

I want to start by saying thank you from the bottom of my heart. It’s because of your incredible support that *Chris Shelton’s Easy Guide to Fix Neck and Back Pain* reached the number one new release spot on Amazon—two weeks in a row! This book has been years in the making, and it’s surreal to see the positive impact it’s already having on so many lives.

While celebrating this milestone, an amazing opportunity popped up that brought a whole new vision for the book into focus. The same week we launched *Easy Guide*, our team had the honor of teaching a Qigong class at the Santa Clara County Library Association’s staff meeting, held at the San Jose Fairgrounds. Over 400 attendees joined us for a class, “Pulling Down the Heavens,” where they experienced firsthand the benefits of energy healing and Qigong practice. This event reminded us of something powerful: the importance of making healing resources available to as many people as possible, especially those who might not have easy access to them.

Why We Want This Book in Every Library

After the Santa Clara library event, I realized just how many public libraries are out there—123,000 across the U.S., with 1,127 in California alone. That’s a huge number of communities we can reach with this vital information! Back pain is one of the most common health issues in the world, affecting millions of people every day. In fact, back pain is one of the number one reasons people seek care in my clinical practice. And guess what? It affects women even more than men, historically speaking.

The more I thought about it, the clearer it became: we need to get *Easy Guide* into as many libraries as possible so that everyone, regardless of financial situation, can access this healing information. That’s where YOU come in!

How You Can Help: Get the Book Into Your Local Library

Here’s something cool: if you have a library card, you can help spread this healing message by recommending *Chris Shelton’s Easy Guide to Fix Neck and Back Pain* to your local library. Most public libraries allow cardholders to suggest books for purchase, and the process is simple and fast! Once you recommend a book, the library will often order it and make it available for all to enjoy.

This is such an exciting way to get the book in front of people who might not otherwise know it exists, and to empower them to take control of their pain. Imagine what could happen if this book made it into libraries all across the country—lives could be transformed!

The Process: How to Recommend a Book to Your Library

So, how does this all work? It’s easy. If you’ve got a library card, you can recommend *Easy Guide* for purchase. Every library has a slightly different process, but the steps are usually something like this:

1. **Log in to your library’s online system** with your library card details.
2. **Look for the “Suggest a Purchase” or “Recommend a Purchase” option**—this might be in the catalog search section or under a specific tab.
3. **Fill out the recommendation form.** You’ll need some basic info about the book, like the title, author (that’s me!), and ISBN number (here it is: ISBN 978-1-63576-922-7).
4. **Submit your request** and that’s it!

If your library approves the recommendation, they’ll purchase the book and add it to their collection, making it available to everyone in your community. This simple action could help hundreds, if not thousands, of people in your local area get relief from neck and back pain.

Why This Matters

At the heart of this campaign is empowerment. It’s not just about selling a book—it’s about giving people the knowledge and tools they need to take their health into their own hands. I wrote *Chris Shelton’s Easy Guide to Fix Neck and Back Pain* because I wanted to create a simple, accessible resource that anyone can use to reduce or eliminate pain. I’ve spent over 30 years studying Chinese medicine, Qigong, and other holistic healing practices, and I’ve seen how these techniques can change lives. Now, I want to make sure this information gets into as many hands as possible—whether people can afford to buy the book or not.

The reality is that not everyone has the means to seek out alternative therapies or buy books about healing. Libraries are a lifeline for so many, providing free access to knowledge that can change lives. By recommending this book to your library, you’re helping people in your community discover practical solutions for pain relief. You’re empowering them to make positive changes in their health and well-being.

Together, We Can Make a Difference

With 123,000 libraries across the U.S., the potential for impact is massive. Imagine if even a fraction of those libraries stocked *Easy Guide*. People who have been suffering silently with chronic pain could find relief. Communities could grow healthier, happier, and more empowered.

Thank you so much for your continued support and love. It means the world to me and my team. Together, we can spread this message of healing and help people across the country find the relief they deserve.

Let’s get this book into every library, and let’s continue to be the change we wish to see in the world!

With gratitude,

Chris and Parisa
