Reverse Aging

Reverse Aging

What If Aging Isn’t What You Think?

Reverse Aging Activation:

A blog post by Parisa Shelton, Morning Crane

What if some of the symptoms we have quietly accepted as “part of getting older” are not actually about aging at all?

That is the question I brought to my recent conversation with Christy Melgoza on the Girl! Can You Talk? podcast.

Christy is not only a social media influencer and podcast host, she is a Qi Clubber, a natural remedy seeker, and a good friend.

What is “Reverse Aging”?

The phrase Reverse Aging was coined with a specific intention.

You have probably seen “anti-aging” products all over the place.

But what bothers me is that the word anti means against. We don’t want to be against aging because if you don’t age, you die. And besides, what a blessing and privilege to age gracefully. Getting older can be exciting!

Reverse aging is a different. It’s not about erasing wrinkles or turning back the clock. It is about reframing our inherited belief system that says aging is painful and lonely.

Reverse aging is a paradigm shift with the objective to have your health span equal your lifespan. Meaning that you’re healthy until the day you die. It’s about continual growth, tapping into your creative potential, and expanding your field of possibilities.

The first step toward that possibility is to become aware of what you believe to be true about yourself, and about getting older.

The Five Healths: (Adopted from Dr Mao Ni of Infinichi)

The Five Healths is a holistic way to look at your health and wellness:

1. Physical Health. This is the foundation everything else rests on.

Move it, or lose it.

Pay attention to what you are eating. And if you are living with chronic pain, reframe to solution-seeking rather than identifying with the pain. Explore natural remedies, acupuncture, qiong, whole-foods, and herbs, etc. There are pathways forward but you do need to do your own research, and find a routine that suits you.

2. Mental and Emotional Health. Emotional strain does not only affect your mood. It accumulates in the body.

The issues are in the tissues.

Our life experiences, our traumas, the feelings we have pushed down over the years, they do not disappear. They get stored at the cellular level and eventually surface as physical symptoms. Tools like the heart healing “HA” breath, journaling, and writing letters you never send (and then burning them) can gently begin to clear the stuck bits that built up over our lifetimes.

3. Relationship Health. The people we surround ourselves with either enhance our chi (life-force) or drain it.

Consider that the challenging relationships in your life are like a mirror, reflecting what still needs to be healed and learned.

There are “energy vampires” who really feed off our energy. Avoid those people and nurture the relationships that lift you. Pay attention to how you feel after spending time with someone. This essential data will show you where to focus your energy to optimize your health.

4. Financial Health. Money is currency, which is energy.

Our economy follows the same physics as electricity.

Your relationship with your finances is rooted in your belief system, and that belief system was shaped long before you earned your first dollar. At a certain point, though, we need to stop blaming the past and take ownership of your relationship with money. Where there is stress and scarcity thinking around finances, there is a corresponding imbalance somewhere else in the five healths.

5. Vocational and Spiritual Health. What you create with your days matters profoundly.

Your vocational health and your spiritual health are interwoven.

Whether you are building a career, raising children, or reinventing yourself in midlife, your creative output is directly connected to your sense of purpose, worth, and spiritual fulfillment. When this feels hollow, everything else suffers. When it feels alive, you thrive! As human beings, we are here to create. Within each one of us contains a universe of unlimited potential. The challenge is to tap into this potential so that you can sculpt the ultimate life you’ve been dreaming of.

The Body Keeps the Score. Qigong Helps It Let Go.

The thread weaving through every one of the five healths is this: the body remembers.

Our experiences, our emotional patterns, our unresolved wounds, all of it lives in the tissues. And Curative Qigong offers one of the most effective and powerful pathways I know for releasing what the body has been holding onto.

Qigong is like a combination of Tai Chi, yoga, and meditation, but with a specific medicinal purpose. We are moving stuck emotional energy, restoring balance to the organ systems, and creating the internal conditions for new pathways to take route.

When you show up regularly, the layers begin to peel back. The body releases what no longer serves. And slowly, steadily, eventually you feel more like yourself again, and maybe even more like yourself than you have in years.

Take One Baby Step Today: Join the Qi Club

Be the tortoise.

You do not need to overhaul your life all at once. Five minutes of practice a day compounds into something incredible over weeks and months. Just start. Exactly where you are.

That is what The Qi Club was built for.

Chris and I started it during the pandemic as a way to stay connected and bring normalcy during a chaotic time, and it has grown into something bigger than ourselves.

We go live on Zoom three days a week, and all recordings are available so you can practice on your own schedule, in your own home, at whatever pace feels right for you.

It is affordable, guided, and rooted in the same Curative Qigong system that has helped thousands of students around the world release emotional baggage, ease physical pain, and step into a more vibrant version of themselves at every age.

If you have been waiting for a sign to begin, this is it.

Come practice with us. Visit sheltonqigong.com and join The Qi Club. I would love to see you in class.

And if this conversation resonated with you, head over to the Girl! Can You Talk? podcast and give Christy and Anna a listen. It is the kind of warm, honest, real talk about midlife wellness that so many of us have been craving.
