Chris Shelton on Two Drink Maximum: Healing, Qigong, and the Journey to Wellness

I recently had the pleasure of joining Two Drink Maximum, with hosts Chase and Shane, where we discussed a variety of topics that are at the heart of what I do as a healer. It was a fun and insightful conversation, filled with laughter, wisdom, and plenty of great takeaways for anyone interested in health, wellness, and self-empowerment.

During the episode, we explored the overall concept of healing, my work with celebrity clients, like Channing Tatum and Herschel Walker, and the power of Qigong in improving one’s overall health. Here’s a glimpse of what we covered, along with some key insights for anyone looking to reduce their neck and back pain—and live a healthier life.

The Power of Small, Daily Choices

We kicked off the episode talking about something as simple as my favorite drink these days—Ollie Pop, a soda packed with probiotics. It’s a great example of how small, everyday choices can support your health. This particular drink is not just delicious, it’s also low in sugar and the probiotics included will help balance your gut. Taking small steps daily, whether it’s making better food choices, practicing mindfulness, or even just stretching, can make a world of difference in how you feel, boosting your energy, reducing stress, and enhancing your overall health.

As I told Chase and Shane, wellness isn’t always about making drastic changes overnight. It’s about consistency—making smart choices every day that contribute to your long-term health and well-being. Whether that’s cutting down on sugar, moving your body, or drinking beverages with probiotics, these small decisions have a cumulative effect, leading to significant changes over time.

Healing From the Inside Out

The heart of our discussion was centered on Qigong, the ancient Chinese practice that has been the foundation of my career for over 20 years. Qigong is about more than just movement—it’s a holistic system that addresses the body, mind, and spirit. It helps people reconnect with their own life force energy, allowing them to heal from the inside out.

One of the things I share during the podcast is that pain, especially chronic neck and back pain, is often a symptom of deeper imbalances in the body. For many of my clients, unresolved emotions, stress, and trauma play a huge role in developing the physical discomfort they experience. This is why my new book, Chris Shelton’s Easy Guide to Fix Neck and Back Pain, addresses not only physical symptoms but also offers solutions to help relieve the emotional and mental triggers behind the pain, healing the imbalance at its root.

Helping Celebrities, Athletes, and Everyone in Between

Throughout the episode, we touch on some of the well-known names I’ve had the honor of working with—celebrities like Channing Tatum and Patrick Schwarzenegger, and athletes like Herschel Walker. While it’s exciting to work with high-profile clients, my mission is the same whether I’m working with a famous actor, an competitive athlete, or a busy parent who simply wants to be pain-free so they can be fully present, active, and engaged in their children’s lives.

What I’ve found, no matter who I am working with, is that the root cause of most neck and back pain is similar for all of us. Stress, emotional tension, and poor posture are often at the core of the issue, and it’s my job to help clients become aware of these factors and guide them toward healing through techniques like Qigong, mindfulness, and practical lifestyle changes.

The Key to Long-Term Health

One of the key takeaways from our conversation is the importance of listening to your body. Pain is a signal that something is wrong, and instead of masking it with medications or pushing through it (as society often encourages us to do), it’s vital that you address the root cause.

In my book, Chris Shelton’s Easy Guide to Fix Back and Neck Pain, I lay out simple, easy-to-follow exercises and techniques that anyone can use to alleviate their pain and regain control over their health. I emphasize that healing is possible without invasive surgeries or a lifetime of medication. By tuning into your body, stretching the right muscles, and incorporating breathwork and Qigong practices into your daily routine, you can make real, lasting changes.

Empower Yourself

Ultimately, my conversation with Chase and Shane was a reminder that we all have the power to take control of our health. It starts with awareness, understanding the body’s signals, and taking action. My mission as an author and healer is to empower people to become their own best advocates for health and well-being.

If you haven’t had the chance to listen to the podcast yet, I encourage you to check it out. It’s a fun and enlightening discussion, and we cover a lot of ground—from my love of Ollie Pops to serious talk about managing chronic pain. You can also dive deeper into these topics in my book, Chris Shelton’s Easy Guide to Fix Neck and Back Pain, which is now available. Let’s keep this journey of healing and empowerment going!
