When we’re constantly engaged with screens, our Sympathetic Nervous System (responsible for “fight or flight”) can become triggered, resulting in increased stress levels and a weakened immune response.
By limiting your screen time and periodically stepping away from social media, you allow your body and mind to reset. Think of it as hitting the “refresh” button on your mental state.

Qigong Exercises to Release Stress and Boost Immunity

Gently “shaking” from head to toe allows trapped energy to be released, making you feel lighter and more grounded. It’s an excellent way to process stress and let go of any negativity that accumulates throughout the day.
2. Lung-Cleansing Exercise – In Qigong, autumn is associated with the lungs, which are connected to the emotions of sadness and grief. Our lung-cleansing exercise helps clear stagnant energy in the lungs and open the respiratory system, making it easier to breathe deeply and feel relaxed. This technique is especially useful in the fall and can significantly boost your immunity.
3. Lung Healing Sound – In Qigong, healing sounds are a powerful way to release negative emotions and change your emotional state. We will teach you how to utilize the healing sound of “SSS” to clear out the emotions of sadness and grief, while bringing forth the virtues of courage and strength. This Qigong practice is particularly helpful if you feel sad when you’re in a public space. A simple “SSS” under your breath will help, and no one will know.
4. The Heart Sound – Also helpful for releasing anxiety and worry, the “HAA” healing sound is used to release excess energy from the heart and promote a sense of love and gratitude. (It’s a great practice if you’re feeling particularly anxious about family gatherings this holiday season.)
