Wow, what a month October has been! I can hardly believe my favorite holiday, Halloween, is tomorrow already!
I don’t just love Halloween because of pumpkins, kids, and candy. I like it because we get to explore the dark side of our existence. 👻 👻 👻
Fun fact: A recent 2020 statistic shows that less households will be participating in the trick-or-treat tradition this year (not exactly surprising) and about 30% of US households, compared to 60% last year, will be passing out candy. HOWEVER, candy sales are up by 13%. 😳😳😳
Let that sink in. Now put the candy bar down… ☠️☠️☠️
On another note, ‘circulation’ is a spiritual principal that applies to Halloween and to life.
“The law of circulation states that all things in the universe are always flowing in circulation but at an ever expanding rate. In other words, what you give to one person, you will receive from a different source.”
It may sound cliché, but it’s true that the more we give, the more we receive.
Circulation is one reason why I’m giving you one of my favorite pumpkin recipes in this week’s video. We filmed me making a yummy vegetarian pumpkin casserole that is sooo good for your spleen and stomach.
It’s a great option for Thanksgiving, or a brisk autumn evening. It’s also very adaptable and can be made for vegans or meat eaters!
Try it out and let us know how it goes.
