Qigong Flow for Releasing Attachment
“This too, shall pass…”
For this week, we would like to bring attention to the practice of releasing attachment.
According to ancient Chinese medicine and Five Element principles, autumn is ruled by the Metal element which resides in the lungs and small intestine. Feelings like loss, sadness, grief and disappointment are attributed to this element and may accumulate during this season.
When we hold onto what is impermanent and always changing, we create suffering in our lives and hold tension in our bodies. Yet, when we let go of the things we are grasping for or clinging to, we can fully immerse ourselves in the present moment and experience a greater amount of ease, even during times of discord.
Go ahead and ask yourself, “To what or whom and I attached?”
When we release attachment to people, places, things, and events, we can become more fully aligned and in vibrational harmony with who we really are.
When we surrender to the truth that all things change, we can connect with the flow of life and live in harmony with all that is arising and passing away. By freeing ourselves from what we are holding on to, we can savor each moment, bringing greater love, kindness and compassion to ourselves and others.
It is equally important that we work to release the tension of attachment we carry within our bodies, and specifically our organs.
I have personally crafted a Qigong flow series of key exercises to help you to do just that.
In this video, we will draw upon the energy of the heavens as we discharge the tension and tightness of attachment stored deep in the body.
We will bounce. We will release. We will expand, restore, and replenish. We will balance the Heart, Lungs, Kidneys and mind as we refuel your cells and tissues with the courage and strength we need to let go…
See you on the lighter side!
