Dear Reader,

As mentioned in The Qi Club earlier this week, October is all about pumpkins and spirits! 🎃 👻 🎃 👻 🎃 👻

This week Parisa attended a mentoring session where one of the exercises was to create a class on the topic of COURAGE!

EUREKA, we found our weekly topic!

Courage connects to our monthly theme because we must cultivate courage to connect with spirits around us and within us.

The root of the word courage is cor, which is the Latin word for heart ♥️
The word courage originally meant “to speak one’s mind by telling all one’s heart.”

Think about that for a moment.

It takes courage to share what is in your heart.

According to the Five Element practice, courage is the positive virtue of the Metal Element, which is an extension of the Lungs.

Autumn is the time of year when the Lungs are most prone to disease, which is why this week’s video includes Qigong practices to clear and strengthen the Lungs.

Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather continuing to act while pushing past the fear.

This is also why this week’s video includes Qigong practices to clear and strengthen the Kidneys; it’s our effort to help you release fear from your tissues and help facilitate more courage, compassion, and kindness.
